|Engaging Kolkata intellectuals with chai|
To the Captain,
Dear Captain A.V.,
I discovered your blog http://ajitvadakayil.blogspot.in/ last night and have been unable to get off of it since. Last year I spent 3 and a half months pilgrimage (Buddhist)in North India and ended the trip visiting dakini temples in Orissa. I traveled around India marveling at the light in the eyes of everyone since Prime Minister Modi was elected. I was born in Canada, live in US (off the grid New Mexico) and have embraced Tibetan Buddhism for 40 years.
It seems India is going to kick some ass globally in the next 50 years as everyone seems to be waking up to their true legacy as a fundamental model for sustained human dharma. The knee jerk self (sahib based) disdain is gone. People are ready for action. Compared to the US and Canada where virtuous people are feeling lost and paralyzed, India has a bright future.
Reading your blog with your meticulous but simple analysis of colonial desecration of Bharat Matha (Mother India); now I am sure that this will be a good possibility. You are cutting through the colonial propaganda with wit and intelligence. I think we are stuck with a new world order, but with the internet and its giant wake up call to all of humanity, it may turn out that R has just been an aggrandized car salesman whose viciousness and duplicity has been over played.
We are in the Kali Yuga but according to Buddhism, the planet is very young in a fortunate aeon. May we be entering a spiritual upswing for holy dharma to dent the current materialism!
India definitely will be a global guru in that circumstance.
May the gold stolen from Kerala be returned to the spice merchants and the Dharma Samaj (spiritual family) legacy. May 'Mother Earth' return the car salesman and his family back to the bowels where they came from.
